Lighting up the Coromandel

Last weekend, crowds gathered along the main street of Coromandel Town to experience a showcase of street installations, lights, food, and entertainment as part of the eagerly anticipated Illume Festival.

Showing our support for the community’s family event, we were delighted to sponsor the popular Night Markets.

Helping to make events such as the Illume Festival possible is an important part of connecting with the communities we serve, Alicia Cameron, Powerco Marketing Programmes Advisor says.

“It’s a great way to get closer to the communities who live and work on our network footprint. 

“We’re proud to be part of the Coromandel community. Our team works hard to keep the lights on and the gas flowing to our customers and we’re passionate about supporting them,” Alicia Cameron says.

We also invited festival goers to capture their memories at our photo booth. Families and friends were delighted to have their picture taken and go into the prize draw to win a double pass to see Synthony playing in New Plymouth on 23 January.
