We’re here to support the sustainable energy transition, which is why we work with utility-scale renewable generation providers to connect generation to our high-voltage network wherever possible.

Getting your application underway

We’ll respond within 30 business days with a high-level review of your connection options and requirements that you'll need to meet before we can accept a final application from you. These requirements will vary, depending on what development is required to safely connect your generation to our network, and whether Transpower involvement is needed.
We’ll also provide details of any technical studies you’ll need to complete. We recommend using an engineering consultant to conduct these.
