Lighting up the Coromandel

Powerco is proud to have sponsored the Illume Festival, bringing family fun to the Coromandel again this year.

Last weekend, crowds gathered along the main street of Coromandel Town to experience a showcase of street installations, lights, food, and entertainment as part of the eagerly anticipated Illume Festival. 

Powerco was delighted to support the community’s family event through its sponsorship of the Night Markets. 

Helping make events such as the Illume Festival possible is an important part of connecting with the communities that Powerco serves, Alicia Cameron, Marketing Programmes Advisor says. 

“Supporting events such as the Illume Festival is a great way to get closer to the communities who live and work on our network footprint.  

“We’re proud to be part of the Coromandel community. Our team works hard to keep the lights on and the gas flowing to our customers and we’re passionate about supporting them,” Alicia Cameron says. 

Powerco also invited festival goers to capture their memories at its photo booth. Families and friends were delighted to have their picture taken and go into the prize draw to win a double pass to see Synthony playing in New Plymouth on 23 January.
