Annual Delivery Report 2021 now available
Last year, Powerco replaced or reinforced 18% more poles than the previous year, 28% more overhead lines and kept the lights on for customers 99.95% of the time.
Those are just some of the achievements shared in the company’s Annual Delivery Report 2021, published online today.
The Annual Delivery Report (ADR) is Powerco’s reporting to The Commerce Commission as part of it’s five-year Customised Price Path (CPP) spending. The ADR 2021 covers the third and most recent investment year, from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021.
Powerco Acting Chief Executive Chris Taylor says the company is proud of the progress it’s making and the benefits this work is bringing to customers.
“We set out on this CPP journey back in 2018 to bring deliver better outcomes to our customers by strengthening the reliability and resilience of our network. Our latest ADR shows us that it’s working,” says Chris Taylor.
“We’ve worked hard to deliver on our investment promises, and we’re pleased with our strong delivery numbers, capital expenditure and number of assets replaced during the past year – especially given the challenges of the COVID-19 environment. It was a timely reminder to us of the importance that a safe and resilient electricity network has in enabling the lives of our customers.”
Chris Taylor says the company’s focus for the final two CPP years will be delivering the remaining projects and work programme and continuing to engage with its customers to deliver energy solutions that best meet their needs.
“This includes going our part to respond to the changing environment – preparing our network for the future and helping Aotearoa meet its goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2050,” says Chris Taylor.
Powerco will host events for customers and stakeholders later this year to talk in more detail about what it has delivered.
